Matured in oak barrels for one year, this wild yeast fermented scrumpy has great apple fruits with perfect acidity and a great tannin bite. It's dangerously easy to drink.
Check out the story of the label.
The name Savage Scrumpy pays homage to the French word "sauvage" which describes wild yeast fermented juice. The word has its origins in Normandy, the heart of French "ciderland", where the Sauvage family (particularly wild Vikings) wreaked mayhem and wild havoc on everyone. The family name entered French language as "like a Sauvage", and became just "Sauvage" to describe wild.
Our label shows a few savage Viking apples wreaking havoc among the poor little eating apples.... Plus of course Vikings come from Denmark - even if it's the country, not the town.
